About the course
We are offering the Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) for Transport Managers in Passenger Transport. The requirements (EU directive 98/76/EC) for the granting of a standard National or International Operator Licence (‘O’ Licence) for passenger operations is that the licence holder either holds, or has access to the services of someone who holds a Certificate of Professional Competence. Current legislation imposes restrictions on the number of operator licences and vehicles on which an external associate CPC holder can be named.

Entry requirements
This is a management qualification (Level 3 Certificate of Professional Competence for Transport Managers), candidate have a basic understanding of accounting procedures, maintenance records etc. is an advantage, but not essential and there are no age restrictions.
Assessment
Unit P1
This Unit is assessed by a single two hour examination consisting of 60 multiple choice type questions. National pass mark of 70% is applied to this examination..
Unit P2
An open book case study examination which consists of a scenario followed by questions to be answered in two hours and fifteen minutes. Question types include short answer responses, longer length analytical responses, drawing up schedules, interpreting data and numerical calculations etc. National pass mark of 50% is applied to this examination.
Examination
Examinations are held four (4) times a year:

Exams are normally held on the first Friday of that month. Now you can take R1 examination on computer base test (online) in our centre anytime according to your flexibility. Please contact us for further information or booking your test.
